- what was the first photography book you bought?
Larry Clark’s TULSA
- what is your favorite colour?
My favorite color is black! More specifically any color that is so dark that it may appear as black yet at a closer glance it's not.
- who are your photographic influences?
My photography influences are Francesca Woodman and Robert Mapplethorpe.
- what is your favorite museum?
My favorite museum is the Dali Museum in Florida, the overall architecture/gardens and the original work is my favorite out of all. Growing up Salvador Dali was my obsession and I think that this specific museum holds a experience like no other.
- if you could buy any photograph which would it be?
Don Herrons by Robert Mapplethorpe from the Bathtub series (1978).
- your favourite holiday destination?
My favorite holiday destination is anywhere that is remote and that I can hike - desert and mountains. Being able to get away from people and enjoy natural life is my favorite thing to spend my time doing. This summer I'll be living / creating art in the deserts of Utah.
- if there is one living person you could photograph who would it be?
It would have to be Sia. She has helped me grow from pain and get through the hardest parts of my life. I have a relationship with her that I wish was mutual and that she knew that I existed. Sia ia a true artist and has the most beautiful, profound voice in the world.
- what is your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is singing songs in the car that hold deep emotional meaning to me. I always end up crying and being overly dramatic!
- what is your favourite city?
100% New York City. I used to live there and miss it every day, specifically The Village. The openness of art and love was the most beautiful thing. Having inspiration everywhere and being surrounded by other artists.
- which charities do you support?
Growing up gay and having been sexually assaulted, I support Rape Crisis, and No Place For Hate. Also Autism Awareness, Elephants and Bees. My youngest sister is Autistic and I don’t believe that it's taught to our communities enough. Bees and Elephants are animals that are close to my heart. My dream is to have a honey bee farm and produce honey for locals.
