BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! MEETS ... Nigel Grimmer

Nigel Grimmer is an artist and educator. As a mixed media artist he researches the language of the photographic portrait.

He studied MA Fine Art at Central St Martins, and BA Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam, he is currently studying a doctorate in queer photography at The University of East London.

His work has been exhibited worldwide including: James Freeman Gallery (London), Maximillian Wolfgang Gallery (London), Charlie Dutton Gallery (Beijing) AIR Gallery (Manchester), The Ballery (Berlin), and at many art fairs including London Art Fair and LA Art Show.

He is currently Curriculum Leader for the Art and Design Course and Senior Lecturer in Visual Arts at the School of Computing, Engineering, and Creative Industries, University of Bedfordshire (UK).

Grimmer has been part of the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! collective since 2022 - first appearing in Volume 5 of the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Magazine with his Analogue Disruptions series, followed by the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Book (published by Kehrer Verlag) in 2023. His work has also featured in BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! exhibitions at Working Dog Gallery in Sydney, Australia and Spruce Gallery in Manila, The Philippines. He is also one of the educators on the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Photography Course.

His new series Brutalist appears in Volume 11 of the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Magazine - to be published 1 February 2026; whist his new exhibition opens at BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Gallery Café in London on 18 February.

Doors open at 6pm, the event begins at 6.30pm and ends by 7.45pm. Then we have until 8.30pm to chat with our guest, mingle & drink & enjoy the BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Gallery Café.
