Carl Cashman is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Liverpool, where he has been a vocal advocate for transparency, civic engagement, and progressive politics. A graduate of the University of Liverpool with a degree in Philosophy and Politics, he began his political career in Knowsley before being elected to Liverpool City Council in 2023. Known for his principled leadership and commitment to public service, Councillor Cashman represents a new generation of local government focused on integrity, inclusion, and community-led change.

He has become a great advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
