Irish born photographer Charles Moriarty moved from Dublin to London at the age of 18 to begin his photographic career. He started working as a photographer in the music industry - most famously with Amy Winehouse. This resulted in his first book, Before Frank, which was later republished as Back To Amy. His second book X, which these images are from, capture the last decade of his work photographing men. They are intimate portraits that follow his own personal journey. His work is now part of the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery (London, UK).
