Kuba Świetlik is a Polish photographer based in Berlin, Germany. He was a runner-up in our BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Photography Competition 2021. We are delighted to share with you his stunning series In The Light Of An Afterimage - which also features in the current issue of our BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! The Magazine - Volume 4.

Kuba's work explores masculinities in their fragile forms.  In the Light of an Afterimage is a series based on his work created over a span of a couple of years. The narrative circles around a phenomenon in which images continue to appear in the eyes, after an exposure to the original optical stimulus. Similarly flashbacks of shared intimacy occur after a night spent with someone. The models portrayed in this series are queer men and Kuba‘s friends.
