The new series LATEX by German photographer Alexander Courtman captures male torsos covered with geometrical applied latex details in vibrant colors. By directing his model into different poses, the latex details underline the movement of the body like a second skin. This dynamic process shows us that even wrinkles and compressions of the body reveal beauty.    

After working for nearly 20 years in the fashion industry, Alexander Courtman started his photographic career in 2020. His practice is an honest and uncompromising point of view and is driven by the desire to get something out of his models. He doesn't believe in polished surfaces, he wants to dig deeper and reveal what lies underneath. Unusual locations and a minimal team challenge his models to show more than what they are usually asked for.
