You guys have been a game changer.
The tools you have given me and the processes I can now apply to myself are invaluable.
This course was so timely and life changing for me. It was exactly what I needed to move forward.
It motivated reflection and exploring new ideas and approaches to our practice. We had frequent review of student's work and feedback from different invited speakers and were exposed to ideas from both the art and business perspectives. I think this course finds its place in a niche within the photography world, so it’s very unique.
The course was an incredibly intense and valuable experience, from which I have gained an enormous amount of information and valuable ideas to continue and improve my photographic and artistic journey. The constant feedback exchange with the students, the teachers and the invited speakers was a real game-changer for me.
Do you want to create an engaging body of work, but struggle with ideas and cohesion? How do you edit and present your images for exhibitions or publication? How do you work or approach a curator and gallery in a professional way?
If you ask yourself these questions often, this program is for you. The program will be facilitated by artist & educator Paul McDonald with guest speakers and reviewers: photographer AdeY; gallerist, editor, curator and founder of BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! Ghislain Pascal; writer & educator Max Houghton; and artist & educator Nigel Grimmer.
You will be set exercises to work through at the end of each session and you will receive feedback on your work throughout the program.
The programme is limited to 14 students. All students have to identify as queer or gay. Online. Price $675. We offer a payment plan for the course, and also run a scholarship programme offering one student a free place on the course. Please contact ghislain@thelittleblackgallery.com
